Hello!
Happy Holidays everyone! My big news is that I got married in Las Vegas on December 3rd, 2009. My close friends and family were there and it was a special day! Here's me in my wedding dress posing near the Red Rock Canyon.
It's been a very busy fall! The Winnipeg Aboriginal Film Festival took place November 18-22nd in downtown Winnipeg and we screened 75 Indigenous films from around the world. Our attendance doubled this year and we are very happy about this! Our ninth annual festival will be held from November 24t-28th, 2010. Check out our website if you want more info: www.aboriginalfilmfest.org. We have two days devoted to youth workshops and they fill up fast! there is a picture here of the festival too....
In October, I was lucky enough to attend a one week advanced documentary workshop in Rockport, Maine. I was able to to spend five solid days working on my project about my own adoption. I made some wonderful new friends, watched some awesome oscar award winning documentaries and got some real work done! Talk about inspiration! Thanks to my new friend/instructor Jack McDonald for your great lessons on the importance of a good spine in a documentary.
Vitality Gardening finished it's first successful season and we will begin a second season in the spring of 2010. Preparations are underway and we have a lot in store for you!
